Thank you to everyone who supported our charity by popping your blue coins in our pot at Tesco. This week they have emailed me and awarded us £2000!

We are really grateful and this money will be going towards our new Panther powerchair.

A wonderful afternoon was had yesterday as our friends at Exeter came down for a pre-season friendly! We had some training, mixed up the teams and had a match and then it was Ocean City v Exeter PFC. A brilliant atmosphere and lovely support from friends and family.

Look forward to doing it again soon!

We were invited to the Devon FA Awards at Exeter Racecourse on Thursday evening to collect an award. Helen, our founder and coach had been nominated for her 'Services to Devon FA.' and Ocean City had been nominated for 'Best Inclusive Project' which as runners up, we were very proud as a club to receive. Being there to collect an award for Helen was our proudest moment and very emotional.

The award is something special and we had a really lovely evening!

After the finals we held our memorial match for Helen. She started the SW League therefore it only felt fitting that there be a match in her honor at the final game. There were two teams one of Ocean City players and the other a mixture of players from the other league teams. Ocean City came 2nd in this match, with SW All Stars taking the 1st place. It was all about taking part and everyone being there to support the players and remembering Helen and seeing on all their faces why it was started in the first place. We had medals for the runners up and the winners which were purple as this was Helen's favourite colour with an added bit of sparkle.

Well done to everyone!

Well done to everyone who took part in the SW League finals, it was a brilliant day! Everyone played really well and the whole day had a really good atmosphere with Swindon taking first place.

We took 2nd place and were runners up in the league holding onto our position from last year! All teams were presented with medals from footballer Shaun Taylor - well done!

Our regional final games take place on Saturday 13th May. We will be having, what will be the start of, an annual match in memory of our founder Helen. It will consist of a team made up of Ocean City players and another team of mixed players from the other regional teams.

Helen has also been nominated for 'Services to Devon FA' award. We will be going up to Exeter to collect the award at an awards ceremony on Thursday 8th June. Very proud moment for us all!
